The Word is: The Film Industry is Booming in ABQ.


The film industry is making a huge financial impact in the Duke City. Mayor Martin Chavez says $250 million has been spent in the city since 2004. And the industry is growing. Business Reporter Megan Kamerick details the spending and new film and television series being shot in and around the city in this article.

We talked to City Film Liason Ann Lerner. In this AUDIO INTERVIEW Lerner says producers are taking advantage of the state's 25% rebate.

Actor auditions for the seven Duke City Shootout movies will be held June 21 -- June 24.
