AG Consumer Alert: Learn to Protect Yourself Now...

Identity Prevention and Repair Kit Available Online.

The New Mexico Attorney General’s Office is advising consumers to learn how to prevent and recover from identity theft. In light of the recent national fraud involving credit and debit card holders that shopped at TJ Maxx and various other retail businesses, the NMAGO has moved the Identity Theft Prevention and Repair Kit to the top of the Web site publication list at:
http://nmag.gov/Publications.

With the help of the ID Theft Prevention and Repair Kit, consumers can learn how to prevent identity theft before it happens as well as learn how to identify signs of identity theft.

Visitors to the next month’s New Mexico State Fair can pick up a copy of the Identity Theft Prevention and Repair Kit free of charge from New Mexico Attorney General’s Office representatives in the Manuel Lujan Jr. Exhibit Hall throughout the run of the fair.
